A66 Northern Trans-Pennine project - Contractor accommodation

This project is a transformative initiative designed to improve a key transportation route between Penrith and Scotch Corner. The project will have broad economic and social benefits for Penrith and the wider region, while also enhancing safety, connectivity, and infrastructure.

Since 15th May 2024, we have proudly hosted contractors working on this significant project. Despite the short notice, we swiftly arranged temporary accommodation just five minutes from the site, staying within their budget. While managing this immediate solution, we worked tirelessly to source a more permanent property that would meet each contractor's 

specific requirements.

On 1st July, we delivered. We secured a beautiful three-storey Victorian terraced house featuring two single and two double 

bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with two hobs, a laundry room with a downstairs toilet, and a spacious living and dining room. In just 24 hours, we deep cleaned, painted, furnished, and equipped the property, ensuring it was ready for our guests. Additionally, we quickly installed Wi-Fi and 

arranged ongoing housekeeping and maintenance to provide a seamless experience.

The property continues to host contractors working on the project, offering them a comfortable and convenient home away from home.
